Swift is an extremely fast and light canoe for training, competition and touring.
The rounded bottom with just a hint of V means minimal wetted surface and a very easily driven hull. The volume and flare in the stems keeps green water out of the canoe in a chop without going high. Midships, the slight flare gives a needed secondary stability in a relatively narrow hull.
Swift is slightly tippier than an ordinary canoe, but not more than anyone with a little paddle experience can handle. In the hands of a skilled paddler, the canoe is extremely fast and handy.
Swift is lightly built without compromising strenght and durability. Anyone who is lucky enough to find low density fir and use epoxy sparingly can make 15 kg and still have a canoe that make nothing of bouncing down a rapid at low water.
