SOF means skin-on-frame and is the traditional kayak building method up north. A few Black Pearls have been converted to SOF-construktion, as have a couple of Hunters. The latest is Bill Bremer (with Lumpy Paddles) with a beautiful frame, waiting for skinning. A friend took some pics for Flickr.
