A week with no time to build! But now I faired (an hour with the angle grinder) and fibre glassed the inside (yesterday night), and today I resawed the molds to the deck line and put them back in the hull (blobs of hot-melt glue) and started stripping the deck. To get the tight curves round the cockpit as I wanted them I had to resort to screws instead of staples and to get the strip landning correct I used a temporary particleboard cockpit form.

Afternoon update: The deck is stripped and ready for sanding and I have begun playing around in Photoshop with different coloring ideas (after a dozen or so bright kayaks I have begun exploring painted surfaces - interesting for a designer because the lines becomes more accentuated and visible without the distraction of the sometimes busy wooden grain pattern) - lately I have been comtemplating a gray/white scheme.
