Exemples from the sketch book
Sometimes I bring a small sketch book for notes and quick water color sketches. A nice alternative to the camera. You get a deeper relation to the scenery when drawing/painting than by pressing a button. After a while you need a couple of minutes for a water color sketch, but even then it is not something you can expect yout paddling mates to endure. It may be fun the first three or four times but soon it is just a nuisance. It is an activity for lonely tours.
A watercoclor box may hold four or five color cakes, more is not necessary, and you can find small travellers sable brushes, protected in metal sleeves. What the salt water does to the paintings over the years I do not know, but my oldest are approx twenty years old, and I cannot see any color shift or paling.
